Jisoo's acting skills controversy: 'Omniscient Reader' director breaks silence
The Defects unveils Choi Young Joon's (Arthdal Chronicles, Hospital Playlist, Flower of Evil, Bloodhounds, Gyeongseong Creature) stills.
The Defects follows the desperate survival struggle and revenge of children who were abandoned by their foster parents and narrowly survived the brink of death.
In the K-drama, Choi Young Joon takes on the role of Woo Tae Sik, Kim Se Hui's (Yeom Jung Ah) minion who works at her illegal adoption trafficking organization, and secretly rescues and protects the "refunded" children. Upon discovering the organization's true nature, he chooses to protect the children despite the danger. Overcome by a sense of guilt, he becomes their ally and teaches them survival skills.
The stills give a glimpse of Choi Young Joon transformed into Woo Tae Sik. Shaped by years of surviving within the organization while protecting the children, his somber expression hints at the tense developments to come in the drama.
The production team stated, "The trusted actor Choi Young Joon has perfectly portrayed the complex inner self and restrained emotional line of the character Woo Tae Sik," and added, "We ask for much interest in Choi Young Joon's performance, as he will play a key role in the drama's narrative."
