Disney+ gives a glimpse of the highly anticipated K-dramas scheduled for release in the second half of 2025.

On May 23rd, Disney+ held an open house at the Walt Disney Company Korea headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul. Choi Yeon Woo, head of local content at Walt Disney Company Korea, attended and shared Disney+'s forthcoming Korean content strategy and upcoming K-dramas.

Disney+ marks its 4th year since launching its service in South Korea. So far, the OTT has introduced over 40 Korean original productions to the global market, including Moving and A Shop for Killers, which have achieved huge success internationally. 

In the second half of this year, Disney+ plans to release more big-budget productions. Choi Yeon Woo emphasized that the OTT will build a solid lineup featuring top-tier actors and production teams.

"We aim to satisfy the demands of a wide and diverse audience with works of various genres and formats that can complement the tentpole projects. This includes not only [the OTT's] original works but also [the domestic] broadcasting stations' content and movies." He also mentioned plans to consistently produce franchises, emphasizing, "Expandable storytelling is what Disney does best, and making franchise series is a major goal for Disney+."

Disney+ plans to unveil the following productions in the second half of this year: Tempest starring Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won. 

Made in Korea starring Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung. 

Low Life, starring Ryu Seung Ryong and Yang Se Jong.

The historical drama Murky Water, starring Ro Woon and Shin Ye Eun. 

Fabricated City starring Ji Chang Wook and Doh Kyung Soo. 

Tempest tells the story of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a diplomat and former ambassador to the U.S. with an international reputation, who, along with San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality, pursues the truth behind a massive incident. 

Disney+ has also confirmed the production of historical mystery horror Delusion, starring Bae Suzy and Kim Seon Ho 

Meanwhile, there is no news about the release of Knock Off, starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah
