Kang Na Eon transforms into a high school student in Lee Min Ki and Lee Bo Young's upcoming K-drama
ITZY's Shin Yu Na is officially debuting as an actress.
On July 1, tvN announced the official cast of the upcoming K-drama Miss Undercover Boss. Shin Yu Na is one of the confirmed leads, and this marks the ITZY member's first official acting gig.
Shin Yu Na made her official debut in the industry in 2019 as part of the K-pop girl group ITZY from JYP Entertainment. She has been focusing on all the group activities since her debut. This year, she will now take on the challenge in acting.
Although she will start her career as an actress, Shin Yuna will continue with all of her group's activities. Just last month, ITZY released their mini-album Girls Will Be Girls, and Shin Yuna participated in the promotions. Shin Yuna is the first ITZY member to officially embark on a career in the K-drama industry.
Shin Yu Na will work with other confirmed cast members Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Cho Han Gyeol.
Miss Undercover Boss is a K-drama set before the 1997 IMF crisis began. It will tell the story of Hong Geum Bo, a highly skilled securities supervisor who takes on an undercover assignment as a high school graduate employee within a Yeouido securities firm.
Park Shin Hye will give life to the role of Hong Geum Bo, a 35-year-old skilled securities supervisor who prefers to work alone. She will go undercover as a high school graduate employee within a Yeouido securities firm.
Shin Yu Na will play the role of Hong Jang Mi, who is the younger sister of Hong Geum Bo (Park Shin Hye).
Miss Undercover Boss will be the joint work of director Park Seon Ho (Business Proposal, Suspicious Partner, and Birth of a Beauty) and writer Moon Hyun Kyung (Into the Ring).
Miss Undercover Boss is set to premiere in the first half of 2026, and it will exclusively air on tvN. According to reports, the K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes.
