
Kang Yoo Seok and TXT members Choi Soo Bin and Choi Yeon Jun are set to reunite as Hi-Boyz on Mnet's music program M Countdown.
On May 16, media outlets reported that the fictional K-pop boy group Hi-Boyz, formed through the tvN K-drama Resident Playbook, will perform on M Countdown. They are currently coordinating the details.
According to reports, Hi-Boyz, consisting of Um Jay (Kang Yoo Seok), Top Key (Choi Yeon Jun), and Bin (Choi Soo Bin), have decided to perform on a music program as a special gift to K-pop fans and viewers of Resident Playbook.
Episode 9 officially featured the K-pop group performing their song, 'When The Day Comes.' The track has also been officially released on music streaming platforms and is currently performing well on the charts.
Hi-Boyz has been mentioned since the first episode due to the main lead, Um Jae Il/Um Jay, played by Kang Yoo Seok. He introduced himself as a former idol and a member of a one-hit wonder K-pop group called Hi-Boyz. In later episodes, he also showcased the key dance move of their hit song.
Hi-Boyz gained many fans as their song performed well on the charts, and their dance became a TikTok challenge.
M Countdown airs every Thursday.
Resident Playbook is a spin-off of Hospital Playlist that depicts the real-life stories, friendships, and struggles of obstetrics and gynecology residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital.
