Netflix unveils stills from its upcoming thriller Trigger.

Trigger tells the story of two men who pick up guns for different reasons amidst the continuous occurrence of gun violence happening as a result of illegal firearms deliveries in Korea, where buying, selling, and owning guns is banned.

In the stills, Lee Do (Kim Nam Gil) and Moon Baek (Kim Young Kwang) are seen at the center of the incidents. Lee Do, a police officer and a former military sniper in conflict zones, picks up a gun once again to uphold justice in the face of firearm violence.

Kim Nam Gil explained, "Lee Do is a man with deep wounds, but he tries not to return the pain he's endured back to the world." He added, "Rather than being trapped in the past, he holds a strong will to move forward toward the future. His restrained inner self and quiet resolve are part of what makes him charming."

On the other hand, unlike the cautious and focused Lee Do when he aims at his target, Moon Baek appears laid-back and carefree.Kim Young Kwang remarked, "Moon Baek is a very free-spirited character and felt unlike anyone I've played before," adding, "Though he also carries a dark past, I found the character's transformation throughout the story especially captivating."

Director Kwon Oh Seung shared, "The emotions Kim Nam Gil conveyed through his eyes feel like a story in themselves. The subtle furrow of his brow adds sincerity and persuasiveness to the character. I was confident that such an actor would naturally draw viewers to the world of Trigger through the character of Lee Do." He added, "Kim Young Kwang, too, has a strong charisma that makes him unignorable as Moon Baek. He has the kind of smile that captivates people. I believed that very charm perfectly embodies who Moon Baek is."Co-director Kim Jae Hoon also noted, "We had a very open discussion with the actors about the project," and emphasized, "Watching how the relationship between Lee Do and Moon Baek constantly shifting — and how the actors bring about that transformation — will be one of the most enjoyable aspects of the series."

Trigger will be released worldwide on Netflix on July 25.
