Law and the City unveils stills, featuring Yeom Hye Ran, Park Hyung Soo, Kim Ji Hyun, Jung Hye Young, and Lee Seo Hwan.
Law and the City is a story about the joys, sorrows, and growth of five associate lawyers who work at law firms located in the Seocho Judicial Town.
Yeom Hye Ran plays Kim Hyung Min, the owner of the Hyungmin Building. Having built a successful business, she owns not only the building that bears her name but also a scholarship foundation.
However, despite being the owner, Kim rarely shows herself, and even the managing partners have never seen her in person. Whereas, the Hyungmin Building houses numerous law firms and legal offices. Depending on the characteristics of each managing partner, the size of the firm, and the personalities of the staff, each office has a flavor of its own.
Located on the 5th floor of the Hyungmin Building is the Chung Gong Law Firm where Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok) works. Its managing partner, Seong Yu Deok (Lee Seo Hwan), is a business-minded lawyer who takes on any case that can make money, even those lying around on the floor. Even when complaints and concerns from the lawyers pile up, he only pursues his own goals.
Whereas, Kang Jeong Yun (Jung Hye Young), the managing partner of Johwa Law Firm, where Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young) works, considers associate lawyers as her colleagues. She always treats people with a gentle and kind demeanor. However, at times, the attitude she displays as the firm's representative creates a sense of dissonance compared to her usual conduct.
Na Gyeong Min (Park Hyung Soo), the managing partner of Kyungmin Law Firm, shows zero passion for work and zero interest in his associate lawyers An Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk) and Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young). Though competent enough to employ not one but two associate lawyers, he consistently maintains an indifferent attitude.
Kim Ryu Jin (Kim Ji Hyun), the managing partner of Hojeon, the only legal office in the Hyungmin Building, digs deep to solve cases quickly. She works in perfect sync with Ha Sang Gi (Im Sung Jae), sharing not only all-night discussions but also a studious nature. She spares no financial rewards for her partner, fueling Ha Sang Gi's loyalty to the firm.
Law and the City premieres on July 5. The K-drama will be available on Disney+ (select regions).
