After Squid Game, Lee Byung Hun will reportedly star in a new Korean remake K-drama.

On June 24, media outlets reported that Lee Byung Hun has been chosen to lead the Korean remake of the American spy period series titled The Americans. Reports stated that the K-drama version will be called Koreans

There were also reports that Lee Byung Hun is positively considering the offer to lead the upcoming K-drama. The K-drama Koreans is reportedly set to premiere on a global streaming platform with a large-scale budget. 

Koreans is a spy drama that will depict the story of the popular American series The Americans, set against the backdrop of a divided Korea. The Americans premiered in 2013 and ran until 2018. The K-drama version will reportedly be helmed by director Ahn Gil Ho, who is known for creating the K-dramas The Glory, Happiness, Stranger, Rooftop Prince, and more. 

Studio AA will produce the upcoming K-drama. 

Meanwhile, Lee Byung Hun's agency, BH Entertainment, shared its official statement regarding the casting. According to them, "Lee Byung Hun did receive the offer, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The actor is reviewing it positively."

Viewers are set to see Lee Byung Hun as the Front Man for the last time this week through Squid Game Season 3. The much-anticipated Netflix original K-drama will air its finale on June 27 with six episodes. In the finale season, the actor will work alongside Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Joon, Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, and more.

If Lee Byung Hun confirms his casting for Koreans, this will be his follow-up K-drama project after the three seasons of Squid Game.  

Aside from K-dramas, Lee Byung Hun will also lead the upcoming films There Is No Choice and I Believe in a Thing Called Love
