JTBC's new K-drama The Good Man has been confirmed to premiere on July 18.

The Good Man tells the story of Park Seok Chul (Lee Dong Wook), the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family who strives to protect his loved ones.

Lee Dong Wook takes on the role of Park Seok Cheol, who unwillingly ends up becoming a gangster. He now resolves to set his life back on the right track, as he once again pursues his childhood dream of becoming a novelist like Hemingway.

Three character teasers have been unveiled. In the first video, we catch a glimpse of Park Seok Chul's life as a gangster — a man who has much to protect. His empty gaze, as he tightens a blood-stained bandage, foreshadows his unyielding fight to protect that which is most precious to him.

The second video showcases an unexpected side of him. Park admires the novelist Hemingway and has always dreamed of becoming one himself. But now, lost in anguish, he wonders if he will awaken to a new light as he reads, "As long as the sun rises, there is hope."

In the third teaser, we catch a glimpse of the contrast between Park's ambitions and his life. He reads: "I took the road less traveled by. And that has made all the difference."

The Good Man is coming July 18. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ and Hulu (select regions). Watch the teasers herehere, and here
