Nam Ji Hyun will possibly not appear in the new season of Good Partner.

On June 24, industry insiders reported that Nam Ji Hyun eventually declined the offer to reprise her role in Good Partner Season 2. Reports stated that after thorough discussion with the Good Partner team, the actress has decided not to join the new season because of scheduling conflicts.

The new season of Good Partner will reportedly begin filming in the first half of next year. Actress Jang Na Ra will possibly solely lead the upcoming K-drama.

In 2026, Nam Ji Hyun is set to lead two upcoming K-dramas. She is currently filming for the upcoming KBS series Dear Bandit alongside Moon Sang Min, Ha Seok Jin, Kim Suk Hoon, Choi Won Young, and Hong Min Ki. The actress will also return to the rom-com genre with the upcoming K-drama Nyuneo. She will pair up with actor
Kim Jae Young
in the TVING series.

Good Partner Season 2 will continue to showcase the daily life and struggles of divorce lawyers. It focuses on veteran divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung, who is working at the law firm Daejung.

Aside from Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun, the first season was led by Kim Joon Han, BLOCK B's P.O., Ji Seung Hyun, and Han Jae Yi. There is no information yet if the supporting cast will also reprise their roles.

Nam Ji Hyun previously portrayed Han Yu Ri, a rookie divorce lawyer, in the series. Should she not participate in the upcoming season, the role of Han Yu Ri would either be omitted or taken on by another actress. There has been no official confirmation regarding this.

Good Partner is the joint work of director Kim Ga Ram (Nevertheless and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Choi Yoo Na

Just like the first season, the second season of Good Partner will air exclusively on SBS. There is no confirmation yet on the airing date of Good Partner Season 2.
