KBS2-Disney+'s new fantasy action Twelve has been confirmed to premiere on August 23.
Twelve is an action K-drama about 12 zodiac angels living in human form to protect humanity, battling against evil.
Inspired by the 12 zodiac signs, the K-drama will span from ancient times to modern days. Prospective viewers also look forward to the performances from the star-studded cast lineup featuring Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, Seo In Guk, Sung Dong Il, Lee Joo Bin, Ko Kyu Pil, Kang Mi Na, Sung Yoo Bin, Ahn Ji Hye, and Regina Lei.
Ma Dong Seok takes on the role of Tae San, the leader of the 12 angels, who symbolizes tiger. Having long protected the human world, Tae San joins forces with the other 12 angels to fight against a powerful evil force that has reemerged in the human world after breaking free from a seal placed thousands of years ago.
Park Hyung Sik plays the role of O Gwi, a menacing force of evil who threatens angels and humans, and symbolizes crow.
Seo In Guk plays Won Seung, a clever and witty angel who dreams of becoming the next leader and symbolizes monkey.
Lee Joo Bin takes on the role of Mir, an angel symbolizing the dragon, whose special powers were sealed along with the evil spirit in a battle thousands of years ago.
Ko Kyu Pil plays Doni, the angel symbolizing pig.
Kang Mi Na plays Kang Ji, the angel symbolizing dog. Agile in battle yet warm-hearted, she is dedicated to protecting humans.
Sung Yoo Bin takes on the role of Jwi Dol, the angel symbolizing mouse, whose quick judgment makes him an indispensable part of the team.
Ahn Ji Hye plays Mal Suk, the angel representing horse.
Rookie actress Regina Lei appears as Bang Ul, the angel symbolizing snake.
Sung Dong Il anchors the story as Marok, the manager of the 12 angels and the only human, chosen by the Diety, with special abilities.
Twelve will premiere on Disney+ (select regions) on August 23 and will air a total of eight episodes.
