Kang Na Eon transforms into a high school student in Lee Min Ki and Lee Bo Young's upcoming K-drama
Dr. Romantic co-stars Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok are expected to reunite in a new K-drama.
On July 3, media outlet My Daily released an exclusive report stating that Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok have been chosen to lead the upcoming MBC K-drama Liar.
Neither Seo Hyun Jin nor Yoo Yeon Seok's side has responded to the casting reports.
Liar will tell the story of two individuals who went on a perfect first date, only to tell conflicting stories the next day.
Seo Hyun Jin got the offer to portray the role of Kang Ji Sun, a modern dance teacher, while Yoo Yeon Seok will possibly return as a doctor named Min Joon Ho. He will be a heart surgeon in the upcoming K-drama. He will be a single father who decided to have a date with his son's teacher, Kang Ji Sun.
If Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok decide to lead Liar, this will be their grand reunion after almost 10 years. The two previously paired up in the hit SBS K-drama Dr. Romantic.
This will also be Seo Hyun Jin's comeback to the teacher role after six years (Black Dog) and also Yoo Yeon Seok's comeback to the doctor role after three years (Dr. Romantic Season 3).
Liar will exclusively air on MBC. The release date of the K-drama is still undecided.
Before Seo Hyun Jin joins the K-drama Liar, she will first greet viewers through the upcoming series Love Me. She will work alongside Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Si Woo, Yoon Se Ah, Chang Ryul, and TWICE's Kim Da Hyun in the romance melodrama.
On the other hand, Yoo Yeon Seok's next official K-drama project will be the 2026 series God and Law Firm. He will star alongside Esom and Kim Kyung Nam in the thriller mystery K-drama. The actor made a cameo appearance in this year's K-dramas Resident Playbook and Tastefully Yours.
