Song Kang will reportedly return to K-dramas as soon as he finally finishes his military duties.
On June 30, the media outlet SPOTV News reported that Song Kang has finally chosen his next project. According to them, Song Kang will be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama Four Hands. This will be his first project after his military discharge in October.
Four Hands will explore the friendships, romances, and rivalries of high school alumni, following their growth from their school days into adulthood.
Song Kang got the offer to portray the main lead role in the K-drama. He will possibly play the role of a piano prodigy.
Meanwhile, reports stated that Four Hands is currently in the preparation stages for production as well as casting the leads. The premiere date and broadcast channel of Four Hands are still in discussion.
Song Kang started his military service in April 2024. He will finish his military duties on October 1st this year.
If Song Kang confirms his casting, this will be his grand comeback to the industry. The actor was last seen in the K-drama Sweet Home Season 3 alongside Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, and Kim Shi Ah.
Before Song Kang started his military duties, he made a special appearance in the film Escape. He also hosted the entertainment program I-LAND Season 2: N/a.
Song Kang started his acting career in 2015. He is best known for being part of the K-dramas The Liar and His Lover, When the Devil Calls Your Name, Love Alarm, Sweet Home, Navillera, Nevertheless, Forecasting Love and Weather, My Demon, and more.
