Esther Yu and Chen Jing Ke's Chinese life drama 'Road to Success' announces premiere date
The production team of SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama Flex X Cop Season 2 has confirmed the drama's premiere for August 7.
Flex X Cop Season 2 follows Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), who uses wealth and connections like cheat codes, and veteran detective Joo Hye Ra (Jung Eun Chae) as they team up to take down criminals.
Director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Ba Da of Season 1 are reuniting once again for the new installment.
The script reading was attended by director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Bada, along with the drama's main cast, including Ahn Bo Hyun (as Jin Yi Soo), Jung Eun Chae (as Joo Hye Ra), Kang Sang Jun (as Park Jun Young), Kim Shin Bi (as Choi Kyung Jin), Jung Ga Hee (as Yoon Ji Won), and Kim Myung Soo (as Choi Jung Hoon).
Before the reading began, director Kim Jae Hong shared, "I'm deeply moved and grateful that Flex X Cop Season 2 is being made. It feels truly meaningful."
Ahn Bo Hyun also expressed his excitement, saying, "I really missed the set of Flex X Cop. I'll do my best to create a fun atmosphere so that those who have newly joined the cast can experience the same chemistry we had."
In Season 2, Ahn Bo Hyun returns as Jin Yi Soo, who has completed police academy training and officially become a detective, equipped with even greater professionalism and experience. Jung Eun Chae joins Kangha Police Station's Violent Crimes Unit 1 as its new team leader.
Joining them are cast members from Season 1, including Kang Sang Jun, Kim Shin Bi, Jung Ga Hee, and Kim Myung Soo.
The production team of Flex X Cop Season 2 said, "The matured chemistry of the original cast members returning from last season blended perfectly with the fresh energy brought by the new additions from their very first meeting." They added, "With an even bigger scale, a more gripping story, and thrilling character dynamics, the series will deliver a special, entertaining experience for viewers. Flex X Cop Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on August 7.
