Lee Je Hoon to possibly return to the big screen with a horror thriller
Between Steps has unveiled fresh stills featuring Kim So Hyun.
Between Steps tells the story of Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), who was a swimmer in high school but lost one of his legs due to an illness, and Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), who, after losing her way and wandering, embarks on a new path.
The drama is the latest — and final — work of the late director Ahn Pan Seok.
The stills portray Kim So Hyun as Im Yoo Jin, an undergraduate fashion major. One pic shows her carefully selecting an outfit in front of her wardrobe, with sample fabrics filling an entire corner of the room. Her serious gaze as she meticulously examines her assignment also hints at her top student status in her department.
Another still shows her wearing a serious expression. Unlike her usually lively self, Im Yoo Jin stands with a hardened expression — her demeanor as if she is trying to suppress her emotions after encountering an unexpected situation.
After being branded a "troublemaker" within her department due to an incident, she finds her path to graduate school in her major blocked. After meeting Park Min Jae, she discovers a new world of robotics.
Kim So Hyun explained why she chose the project, saying, "When I read the script, I felt that it was realistic yet very honest. I was curious about what would happen next because it felt like a work that reflects our lives through the genre of romance. I also thought that joining the journey that Director Ahn Pan Seok would create would be an opportunity for me to grow another step as an actress."
Between Steps will premiere on October 5. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ (select regions).
