Kim Young Dae shares insights into his 'Dear X' character

TVING original Dear X unveils stills featuring Kim Young Dae.

Dear X tells the story of Baek Ah Jin (Kim You Jung), a woman who, having endured domestic violence in childhood, wears a mask to hide her emotions and escape a hellish life, and climbs to the top by manipulating people. 

In the K-drama, Kim Young Dae plays Yun Jun Seo, who protects Baek Ah Jin unconditionally. Having endured wounds and voids since childhood, Baek Ah Jin is a special person in Yun Jun Seo's life.

Kim Young Dae explained his reason for choosing the project: "I was drawn in from the moment I first read the script, and I felt a strong attraction to the character Yun Jun Seo. Naturally, I wanted to try portraying this character."

Yun Jun Seo, who would have walked through any mire for Baek Ah Jin, begins to see everything he has protected start to crumble. 

On this, Kim Young Dae commented, "Yun Jun Seo supports and empathizes with Baek Ah Jin with absolute devotion, but he ultimately, in the face of unavoidable conflicts, gradually breaks down and heads toward destruction. I focused on the flow of his emotions and the state of his inner world while portraying him."

Dear X is set to premiere this November. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come.
