Lee Jong Suk steps down from 'Iseop's Romance'

Lee Jong Suk has declined to star in the drama Iseop's Romance.

On September 3, Lee Jong Suk's agency, Ace Factory, told Ilgan Sports, "Actor Lee Jong Suk prepared to appear in Iseop's Romance, having discussed and considered the project together [with the production team] for a long time, starting from its planning and development stage. However, as the production and filming schedule was adjusted from the original plan, it became difficult to coordinate it with his subsequent schedule."

The agency added, "After thorough discussions with the production team, it was ultimately agreed that he would not be joining this project."

The agency further stated, "As this is a project that [we] have prepared for over a long period with great affection, we will continue to do our best in the hope that Iseop's Romance can be completed as a good production."

Iseop's Romance follows Tae Yi Seop, a third-generation chaebol heir who's perfect at everything yet clueless when it comes to relationships, and Kang Min Kyung, an ace known as TK Group's "secret weapon". Choi Yun Ji has been cast as the female lead.

Iseop's Romance is scheduled to officially begin filming this year, with the aim of premiering next year. Stay tuned!
