Actor Lee Sang Bo has passed away at 44.
On March 27, the Hankook Ilbo reported that Lee Sang Bo was found dead on March 26.
According to the report, police were dispatched to the scene following a family member's report and are currently investigating the exact circumstances of his death. Regarding this, a representative from Lee Sang Bo's agency, Korea Management Group (KMG), told OSEN on the same day, "We are in the process of assessing the situation and details."
The late actor made his debut in 2006 with the KBS 2TV drama The Invisible Man. He went on to appear in dramas such as Golden Era of Daughter in Law and The Elegant Empire.
In 2022, he became embroiled in allegations of drug use. However, in September 2022, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul decided not to refer Lee Sang Bo's alleged drug use case to the prosecution due to a lack of evidence. It was found that the incident was due to the prescribed medication he had been taking for depression, and he was cleared of the charges. The following year, he returned with the drama The Elegant Empire and had recently signed with a new agency.
The funeral hall has been set up in Room 3 of Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will take place at 10:30 a.m. (local time) on March 29, and the burial site is the Pyeongtaek Municipal Memorial Park.
