Culinary Class Wars Season 2 is coming on December 16.
Culinary Class Wars is a Netflix original variety show themed around a cooking competition between 20 star "White Spoon" chefs and 80 underdog "Black Spoon" cooks.
The series became the first Korean Netflix variety show to rank No. 1 for three consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global TOP 10 TV (non-English) category and also became the first OTT variety program to rank No. 1 in Gallup Korea's "Koreans' Favorite Programs" survey in September 2024.
On November 18, Netflix unveiled a poster and teaser for the upcoming show.
The teaser highlights the white-spoon chefs, each boasting unrivaled competence — from Lee Jun, holder of two Michelin stars, to Son Jong Won, who has earned one Michelin star each in Korean and Western cuisine, Venerable Sun Jae, Korea's first master of temple cuisine, and Hu Deok Juk, a grand master of Chinese cuisine with 57 years of experience.
The Black Spoon chefs raise expectations with their burning determination for this culinary showdown: "I've been waiting for this competition," "I'm going to pour out everything I've prepared," "Maybe it's time to make my name known to the world," "There's only one reason I'm competing," "I came here to take first place," "If I can defeat that chef, I can get my name out there."
Producers Kim Hak Min and Kim Eun Ji stated, "We are grateful for the unexpected love our show got for Season 1," adding, "We worked really hard to prepare Season 2 to repay that love and meet viewers' expectations, so we ask for warm support for all the chefs participating this season. We can confidently say that Season 2 offers fun and emotion different from Season 1."
They continued, "Our main principle was to supplement the elements that were loved in Season 1 and revise the aspects viewers felt were lacking, so that we could create a more polished Season 2," and added, "Please look forward to the new rules, missions, and twists that will come in Season 2."
Culinary Class Wars Season 2 is coming on December 16, only on Netflix.
