Generative AI content is expanding beyond video experiments into season-based drama IPs.

Global IP content studio EO Content Group has confirmed the production of its new AI season-based drama, The Rescue, set for release in 2026. It marks the company's second AI series project, following last year's Death Code: The Final Vote, a fully generative AI-produced season-based drama.

Previously, EO Content Group experimented with the potential of generative AI-based genre dramas through Death Code. Death Code is a survival drama consisting of 10 episodes, each three minutes long.

The series tells the story of an AI Mafia game introduced as a prison rehabilitation program that takes over a closed prison. As its characters, events, and world-building accumulate with each episode, the project demonstrated the potential for serialized storytelling rather than merely a short-form video.

EO Content Group is combining the story-planning expertise it has accumulated through the production of live-action films and dramas with generative AI technology. Rather than simply utilizing new technology, the company is focused on developing it into sustainable series and IP.

The company is advancing its production methods by enhancing key elements of AI content quality, including character consistency, continuity of emotional arcs, connections between scenes, and genre immersion.

The new series The Rescue is set to showcase an even broader scale based on this experience. Planned as a 50-episode global series with each episode running one minute, it will combine rescue operations, espionage, and melodrama against the backdrop of major cities around the world.

EO Content Group has built its expertise in producing genre content through dramas such as Love Scout, Head Over Heels, and Night Has Come, as well as films including The Noisy Mansion and The Ghost Game.

The company is also expanding into the short-form market. It launched its first short-form drama, Check In to the Queen, on major domestic and international short-form platforms and is preparing to release its new short-form drama, A Spark Between Us.

Oh Eun Young, CEO of EO Content Group, stated, "As important as advances in AI technology are, what matters just as much are stories and characters that viewers can follow to the end."

She continued, "We will expand on the potential we confirmed with Death Code in 2025 through The Rescue in 2026 and build competitive AI series IP."
