Mystery thriller The Scarecrow has unveiled Park Hae Soo's stills.

The Scarecrow tells the story of Detective Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) investigating a serial murder case, who forms an unexpected partnership with Prosecutor Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon), the very man he despises. The drama follows two men's pursuit of the truth, spanning over 30 years from 1988 to 2019.

Park Hae Soo takes on the role of Kang Tae Joo, an ace detective known for his keen observational skills and sharp instincts.

The stills capture Kang Tae Joo's rough charisma. Among officers dressed in neat uniforms, Kang Tae Joo sits wearing a jacket with an air of nonchalance. Sitting with his legs propped up on a chair and a lollipop in his mouth, he exudes a free-spirited aura.

However, he is later demoted and transferred from Seoul to Gangseong, hinting at another shift as he is seen going through case files at the Gangseong Police Station. As if awaiting his arrival, a series of mysterious murders begins to occur, and at the new crime scenes, Kang Tae Joo reveals his instincts as an ace detective.

The Scarecrow marks Park Hae Soo's return to TV dramas five years after Chimera. He shared, "It feels like I'm greeting you anew, so I do feel nervous, but I'm also happy to be able to greet you again after such a long time."

He added, "I'm not sure how far Kang Tae Joo can be called a righteous person, but he is definitely someone who is true to himself. As he encounters a brutal serial murder case and lives through that period, he becomes a character who genuinely tries to understand and embrace the pain of the victims and those around them. Even so, he fails, clashes, and crumbles, but continues to live while standing up against injustice. I was drawn to how Tae Joo wavers and tries to accept and face his own weakness and shortcomings. And I wanted to learn from that."

The Scarecrow will premiere on April 20. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come. Stay tuned!
