Ding Yu Xi's studio apologizes for 'The Road to Splendor' Qixi livestream cancellation
Hong Min Gi's (Study Group, To My Beloved Thief) agency has issued an official statement addressing allegations recently made against the actor.
On August 19, an influencer referred to as "A" shared an image of the certification of contents she had sent to Hong Min Gi, whom she identified as her ex-boyfriend. It contained several allegations, including claims of assault and an invasion of privacy. Later that day, "A" published another post accusing the actor of making disparaging remarks about fellow actors, staff members, and fans, abusing his pet, engaging in unwanted physical contact following their breakup, and more.
The agency has since responded to the allegations with the following statement:
Hello, this is Fable Company.
First, we sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people over the matter involving our agency's actor Hong Min Gi (hereinafter referred to as "Actor").
As this matter arose from a private relationship, the Actor refrained from making any public response or pursuing legal measures as much as possible, hoping that his relationship with the other party (hereinafter referred to as Ms. "A") could be resolved amicably. However, today (August 19), "A" posted on their personal social media account the certification of contents sent to the Actor, along with related posts.
Those posts contain numerous claims that differ from the facts as understood by our agency, and they have since been rapidly spreading through the media and online communities. Therefore, in order to prevent any further misunderstandings or harm to the Actor, our agency and the Actor would like to clarify the facts that have been confirmed.
"A" and the Actor began dating around April 2026. However, during their relationship, the actor discovered that "A" had continued to stay in contact with her ex-boyfriend. During their relationship, "A" admitted through a letter and private messages that she had met another man. She acknowledged her wrongdoing and apologized several times, saying, "I know very well that, considering the hurt I caused you, I have no right to approach you like this. I'm truly sorry, without any excuse." However, the actor determined that the trust between the two had been irreparably damaged and repeatedly made it clear that he had no intention of continuing their relationship as a couple.
Nevertheless, "A" continued to contact the Actor, repeatedly asking him to get back together. She frequently went to the Actor's home and even went to his family's home, repeatedly making one-sided contact and approaching him in ways that the Actor did not want.
This situation continued until recently. At around 1 a.m. today, "A" once again went to the Actor's home and continued ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door until 4 a.m. According to CCTV footage secured by our agency, "A" also engaged in unreasonable behavior, including placing a sticker over the CCTV camera at the entrance of the Actor's home to prevent herself from being recorded and kicking the front door.
Furthermore, "A" exploited the fact that the public's perception and the Actor's image are important to him, repeatedly pressuring him by threatening to disclose false information to the public. She also did not hesitate to say things such as, "It's true or not, I'm just going to sue you. Once I file a lawsuit, you're done," "You have a lot to lose," "Even if you never cursed at me, the truth doesn't matter," and "Once it goes to trial, there's nothing you can do anyway."
Nevertheless, when the actor refused to meet with her, "A" eventually sent him a certified letter containing claims that differed from the facts. Today, she not only uploaded the letter on social media but also posted other provocative and untrue allegations, including claims that the actor had abused his pet dog and deceived his fans through his relationships, seriously damaging the Actor's reputation.
Our agency will do everything in its power to ensure that the facts are clearly established through objective evidence and lawful procedures. Regarding the repeated contact and approaches made against the Actor's will, we plan to take legal action under laws related to stalking. For acts of damaging the Actor's reputation by publicly disclosing and disseminating false information, we plan to pursue all necessary civil and criminal measures, including legal action for defamation.
We also respectfully ask that everyone refrain from making indiscriminate speculation about matters that have not yet been verified, or from expanding upon and reproducing information that differs from the facts.
