Li Xian and Li Yi Tong's 'A Prophet' announces premiere date
From highly anticipated adaptations to gripping thrillers, the upcoming drama lineup has something for every fan. With teasers already dropping, these 12 dramas are generating plenty of buzz even before their premieres. Here are the titles to keep on your watchlist.
1. The Remarried Empress
Navier (Shin Min Ah) is the Empress of the Eastern Empire, admired for her intelligence, beauty, and grace. She has enjoyed a stable life beside her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon). Having grown up together, they share a common ambition to build a powerful, prosperous empire.
Their relationship takes a turn when Sovieshu brings Rashta (Lee Se Young), a runaway slave, into the palace and takes her as his mistress, breaking his promise to Navier that he would never have a concubine.
Meanwhile, Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk) is the heir to the throne of the Western Kingdom. He comes to the Eastern Empire. There, he meets Navier and gradually falls for her.
Sovieshu falls for Rashta and ultimately seeks a divorce from Navier. Instead of allowing the divorce to leave her without a future, Navier makes an unexpected request: she asks for permission to marry Prince Heinrey, the heir to the Western Kingdom.
Coming November 4, The Remarried Empress will be streaming on Disney+.
2. 100 Days of Deception
Set during the Japanese colonial period, the story follows Lee Ga Kyeong (Kim You Jung), Gyeongseong's top pickpocket, who dreams of starting a new life in the United States.
One day, she receives a tempting offer from Yoo So Ran (Kim Hyun Joo), a sniper for the anti-Japanese organization Gugukdan. Gugukdan plans to assassinate Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun Kyu), the Director-General of Political Affairs of the Government-General of Korea.
Ga Kyeong agrees to join the resistance and takes on a dangerous undercover mission. Posing as an interpreter trainee, she infiltrates the Government-General of Korea. During her time there, she crosses paths with Kim Tae Woong (Park Jin Young), the newly appointed elite interpreter and the adopted son of Sato Shinichi.
Amid secrets, deception, and mounting political tensions, an unexpected bond begins to develop between them.
100 Days of Deception will premiere on October 10. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.
3. Doctor X
Doctor X is a medical drama that follows Kye Su Jeong (Kim Ji Won), a genius surgeon who proves what it truly means to be a doctor through skill alone as she "operates on" a medical system steeped in absurdities.

4. Merry Berry Love
Set on a remote Japanese island with its beautiful scenery, Merry Berry Love follows Korean spatial designer Lee Yoo Bin (Ji Chang Wook) and Japanese female farmer Shirahama Karin (Imada Mio).
Lee Yoo Bin was once a highly successful space planner in Korea but loses everything overnight and heads to Charo Island. A perfectionist by nature, he meets Shirahama Karin, a lovable and passionate strawberry farmer, and experiences an unexpected change in his life.
Merry Berry Love is coming October 7. It will be streaming on Disney+.
5. kiDnap GAME
Simultaneous kidnappings occur across Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Naha. As news of the shocking incidents spreads, the victims’ families each receive an unexpected message.
Inside is an invitation to participate in a mysterious game, accompanied by a chilling question: "How far would you go to save someone you love? Only one person can be saved." The seven participants, from different Asian cities and with diverse nationalities, religions, and backgrounds, are each assigned a separate mission. To rescue their kidnapped loved one, they must be the first to accomplish the task they have been given.
Nīide Toshiro (Sakaguchi Kentaro) is one of the seven contestants. A dedicated detective known for his strong sense of justice and impressive arrest record, he is married to his former schoolmate and lives a happy married life. Everything changes when his wife is abducted, forcing Toshiro to take part in the deadly game.
Another participant is Han Ki Joo (Lee Joon Gi), a retired doctor from Seoul. Once regarded as a world-class surgeon, he walked away from the operating room because of a personal matter. He has since settled into a quiet life, but his peaceful days come to an end when his daughter is kidnapped, leaving him with no choice but to enter the game.
kiDnap GAME premieres on October 6. It will stream on Viu (select regions).
6. Final Table
Final Table follows Korean chefs from around the world as they gather for "The Table: K Chef 2026" competition to determine the best Korean chef. Set against the glamorous world of cuisine, the series portrays the fierce culinary competition alongside their extraordinary personal stories.
Kang Han (Ahn Hyo Seop) is a chef with international working experience. After an unexpected incident, he enters "The Table: K Chef 2026" as Familia's representative.
Choi Song Yi (Hong Hwa Yeon) works as a hall manager at Familia. Determined to save the restaurant her late father founded, she crosses paths with Chef Kang Han.
Cha Woo Jin (Chang Ryul) is a perfectionist chef who leads the top restaurant Exception. Driven by an intense competitive spirit and unwavering determination, he enters the competition as one of Kang Han's strongest rivals.
Sun Jeong Won (Jung Eugene) serves as the executive producer of "The Table: K Chef 2026". She begins developing close connections with the participating chefs while working on the competition.
Final Table premieres on October 24 and will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
7. Between Steps
Between Steps tells the story of Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), who was a swimmer in high school but lost one of his legs due to an illness, and Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), who, after losing her way and wandering, embarks on a new path.
The drama is the latest — and final — work of the late director Ahn Pan Seok.
Between Steps will premiere on October 5. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ (select regions).
8. Take Charge of My Heart
Take Charge of My Heart follows Baek Ho Rang (Kim Young Kwang), whose artificial heart is running out of battery, and Na Bo Bae (Chae Soo Bin), a woman with the electric ability, which causes anyone she touches to get shocked.
After a lightning strike left her with a mysterious ability, Na Bo Bae has spent her life keeping her distance from others. Anyone she touches suffers an electric shock, making an ordinary life nearly impossible.
Baek Ho Rang, the executive director of TS Resort, is facing two major challenges: an upcoming procedure to replace the battery powering his artificial heart and a battle over succession within the TS Group. When he unexpectedly crosses paths with Bo Bae, she discovers that her power has no effect on him.
Their encounter takes an even stranger turn when Baek's artificial heart battery runs out during a hospital power outage on the day of his surgery. Soon afterward, he discovers that the battery begins recharging whenever he is near Bo Bae.
Meanwhile, Bo Bae, a writer whose contract is about to expire, is tasked with coming up with a new story. Seeing an opportunity in her unusual connection with Baek, she approaches him with a proposal. He makes her an unusual offer: she must stay by his side and keep his artificial heart charged for three months, until his next surgery.
Take Charge of My Heart will be released exclusively on Netflix on October 9.
9. Sacred Jewel
Sacred Jewel takes place in 1258 (Goryeo Dynasty), when defeat loomed after years of war with the Mongols. The story follows the heroic struggle of an expedition unit that sets out in search of a sacred relic believed to protect the nation, as well as a princess who strives to save them.
Sacred Jewel is scheduled to premiere in December.
10. Portraits of Delusion
Set in 1935 Gyeongseong, Portraits of Delusion tells the story of painter Yoon Yi Ho (Kim Seon Ho), who is commissioned to paint a portrait of Song Jeong Hwa (Bae Suzy) — a mysterious woman, shrouded in rumors and suspicion, who has remained hidden from the world for over half a century.
When Yi Ho meets Jeong Hwa, his encounter with the enigmatic woman rekindles his passion for true art. However, as he becomes trapped inside the secretive hotel, he finds himself overwhelmed by fear and confusion.
Premiere details about Portraits of Delusion are yet to come.
11. Study Group Season 2
Study Group is a high-school-themed action comedy that follows Yun Ga Min (Hwang Min Hyun), who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. Enrolling in a notorious school, where bullies reign, he forms a study group and, along with his friends, engages in bloody fights, making a desperate effort to study and go to college.
In Season 2, Yun Ga Min, together with the study group members — whose friendship has grown even stronger — takes on a massive force of evil that threatens students nationwide.
Premiere details about Study Group Season 2 are yet to come.
12. The Perfect Lie
The Perfect Lie tells the story of a man and a woman who make completely opposite claims about the same memory and clash fiercely in pursuit of the truth.
Dr. Romantic stars Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin come as leads, Min Jun Ho and Kang Ji Seon, respectively, who clash when they give different accounts of the same memory.
The Perfect Lie is coming this October.
