Song Hye Kyo ends 14-year collaboration with agency
The new drama Speaking Dead has been confirmed for screening at the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).
Starring Han Seok Kyu, Jung Yu Mi, and others, the production will be unveiled for the first time at the festival.
Speaking Dead is a drama that begins with the confession of forensic scientist Jang Jae Wook (Han Seok Kyu), who is identified as the prime suspect in a notorious terrorist case, and follows the pursuit of the truth behind a case that had been buried for more than a decade.
At the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, which will be held from July 2 to July 12, Speaking Dead has been officially invited to the newly established "Phantascapes" section. "Phantascapes" is a section that showcases works from a variety of genres, including comedy, romance, and fantasy, and through this section, Speaking Dead will meet domestic audiences for the first time.
A launching poster was unveiled featuring the drama's main characters: forensic scientist Jang Jae Wook (Han Seok Kyu), a profiler (Jung Yu Mi), a prosecutor (Lee Hee Joon), an investigation division chief (Yeom Hye Ran), and a judge advocate (Kim Jun Han). The characters set against the backdrop of Gwanghwamun, along with the tagline "The truth has been concealed," hint at the drama's mysterious atmosphere. Ryu Hye Young, who plays a social affairs reporter, and Kim Yu Mi, who plays the judge advocate's lover, also join the cast.

The newly released trailer begins with Jang Jae Wook's monologue: "We're all connected. Touch one, and it sets off a chain reaction." As scenes and dialogue among the characters surrounding the case unfold, the trailer conveys the drama's tension.
Speaking Dead will be screened on July 11 at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in a theatrical format combining parts 1 and 2. Watch the trailer here.
