Lee Jong Suk and IU have ended their four-year relationship.

On July 10, Lee Jong Suk's agency, Ace Factory, officially confirmed the breakup, stating, "It is true that they have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues." On the same day, IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, also confirmed the news, with both agencies acknowledging the end of the couple's relationship.

The two first met in 2012 while serving as co-MCs for SBS's Inkigayo. After spending many years as close friends and supportive colleagues in the entertainment industry, they realized their mutual feelings in 2022. Since then, they have continued their public relationship with the enthusiastic support of fans.

Now returning to being colleagues, both stars are preparing to greet audiences with major upcoming projects. Lee Jong Suk is set to return in the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress, which is gearing up for its global release and has generated significant anticipation among fans worldwide.

IU, meanwhile, is fully focused on working on her new album. In addition, she is scheduled to hold a solo concert at the Main Stadium of Goyang Sports Complex this September, where she will meet music fans from around the world.
