TVING unveils new stills from Dear X featuring Kim Do Hoon.

Dear X tells the story of Baek Ah Jin (Kim You Jung), a woman who, having endured domestic violence in childhood, wears a mask to hide her emotions and escape a hellish life, and climbs to the top by manipulating people.

Kim Do Hoon plays Kim Jae Oh, Baek Ah Jin's blind supporter. Captured in an empty classroom during his school days, Kim Jae Oh keeps a sharp gaze on his surroundings. Though he appears strong and unyielding on the outside, deep within, he lives with despair — until he meets Baek Ah Jin, the hope of his life.

Kim Do Hoon shared, "I found it fascinating from the moment I first read the script. Kim Jae Oh was a type of character I was taking on for the first time — one with a strong resolve — so I did feel some pressure, but I believed I could portray him well by working closely with director Lee Eung Bok and the fellow actors."

Kim Jae Oh stays by Baek Ah Jin's side in a way different from Yoon Jun Seo (Kim Young Dae). "He lived a life where he couldn't even love himself, but he finds a reason to live through Baek Ah Jin, the only person who understands him. For her, he’s someone willing to do anything — and actually does."

He added, "So when faced with incidents involving Baek Ah Jin, I tried to express his impulse to act rather than hesitate. Instead of focusing on the character's wounds or darkness, I centered my portrayal on his will to keep living despite everything."

Dear X is set to premiere this November. The K-drama is coming on HBO Max.
