TVING unveils new stills for Dear X.

Dear X tells the story of Baek Ah Jin (Kim You Jung), a woman who, having endured domestic violence in childhood, wears a mask to hide her emotions and escape a hellish life, and climbs to the top by manipulating people.

The stills hint at Baek Ah Jin's harrowing journey of turning her life around. The stills show her in her school days — innocent, youthful, and faintly adorned with a gentle smile. Yet, the strands of wet, disheveled hair and the hollow look in her eyes suggest something far from ordinary. The mystery surrounding her veiled backstory deepens curiosity.

Baek Ah Jin once endured hellish days entirely on her own. However, she rises from the depths of despair, overcoming the misfortune and pain that seemed destined for her. Erasing a past shrouded in dark rumors and secrets, she soars to the top as a top star basking in dazzling lights and applause.

Kim shared her thoughts on choosing the project, saying, "It's a work that features many stories and diverse characters, so I felt there were a lot of new experiences I could have. I did have some fear and hesitation about the subject matter and genre, but I was really looking forward to the chemistry with the directors, production team, and fellow actors."

Baek Ah Jin is a woman who excels at reading and manipulating people's emotions. Commenting on this, Kim explained, "Baek Ah Jin lives wearing a mask, using any means necessary to get what she wants. Because of her innate nature combined with her circumstances, she could easily come across as an intense or provocative character." "So instead of trying to add more layers, I focused on emptying myself and expressing her inner emptiness. To delicately portray Baek Ah Jin's inscrutable emotions and actions, I immersed myself in the emptiness that lies deep within. I believed that those emotions would naturally surface and be conveyed on screen."

Dear X is set to premiere this November. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come.
