Lee Na Young shares her thoughts, returning to the K-drama scene after almost three years with Honor.

Honour is a law drama that follows three female lawyers — Yun Ra Yeong (Lee Na Young), Kang Sin Jae (Jung Eun Chae), and Hwang Hyeon Jin (Lee Chung Ah) — working at L&J Law Firm as they confront the past head-on after it returns as a huge scandal.

Lee Na Young plays Yun Ra Yeong, the face of L&J (Listen and Join). While she commands public's attention with her eloquence and dazzling appearance, behind that glamour lies a cold, steel determination and a brutal struggle that honed her to become who she is today.

Speaking about the time when she got the script for Honor, Lee said, "I read it in one sitting as if I were reading a novel. I couldn't stop because I was curious about what would come next," and explained her reason for choosing the project by adding, "I wanted to be in that tense story." "The journey of Yun Ra Yeong facing her wounds, enduring them, and pursuing the truth came across as interesting. Both the character's personality and the genre were clearly different from what I've done so far. I wanted to take on the challenge."

Yun Ra Yeong described her character as a "celebrity lawyer clad in armor". "Living with her past is burdensome for Yoon Ra Young, but because of it, she came to believe that 'you need power to speak for victims.' That's why she puts on 'armor' so that her weaknesses won't show."

The character — a legal advocate driven not only by a sense of justice but also by power, and a sharp attacker who pierces through an opponent’s vulnerabilities — raises anticipation for the catharsis she will deliver in the courtroom.

Commenting on the challenges she faced, Lee Na Young said, "In every scene, there isn't just one emotion, but a mix of many emotions. That's why there wasn’t a single scene that felt easy," adding, "There were times when I filmed scenes after crying my eyes out." She defined Honor as "a project that broadened my horizons as an actress."

Honor will be released on February 2. Stay tuned for OTT updates!
