Moon Geun Young updates fans after 7 months

Actress Moon Geun Young has updated fans with a set of selfies after seven months.

On October 23, Moon Geun Young posted on social media after a while. She shared a set of selfies and captioned it with, “Curly, curly, natural curls. I felt happy while I was drying my hair, so I decided to take a picture after a long time." 

Showcasing her unchanging youthful beauty, Moon Geun Young shared a bare-faced selfie featuring curls and highlights. She also appears noticeably slimmer than in her last public appearance.

In 2017, Moon Geun Young was revealed to be battling against a rare disease called acute compartment syndrome. Through consistent medication and treatment, she finally made a full recovery. After taking a hiatus for years, she greeted viewers in 2024 through the Netflix original K-drama  Hellbound Season 2 with Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Sung Cheol, Kim Shin Rok, Hong Eui Joon, Yang Ik June, and Lee Re.

At the Hellbound Season 2 press conference, Moon Geun Young directly addressed rumors about her health and weight gain. She stated, "I am 100% recovered and very healthy now. While I did gain some weight, I am currently on a diet. I ask everyone to please cheer for my diet success instead of worrying about my health."

 Moon Geun Young's recently uploaded photo shows that her diet, which began months ago, was a success.

Moon Geun Young began her acting journey in 1999 as a child actress. After a year, she became famous after starring in the hit KBS K-drama Autumn Tale as the younger version of top actress Song Hye Kyo. 

She also gained the nickname in South Korea "Nation's Little Sister" after appearing in the hit films A Tale of Two Sisters, My Little Bride, and Innocent Steps. 

Since then, Moon Geun Young has led several projects such as The Painter of the Wind, Cinderella's Sister, Mary Stayed Out All Night, Cheongdamdong Alice, The Village: Achiara's Secret, Catch the Ghost, and more.
