'Perfect Crown', 'My Royal Nemesis' Chae Seo An on working part-time despite comfortable upbringing
MBC has unveiled first teaser for Perfect Crown.
Perfect Crown follows Seong Hee Joo (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything except a royal status, and Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo Seok), the king's son who, despite being a royal, cannot have anything, as they set out on a journey to carve their destinies, defying the social statuses that confine them.
The newly released teaser opens with the intense gaze of Prince Yi An, effectively leading the royal court in place of the young king. With his innate dignity and strong-willed nature, Prince Yi An has won the support of the people, but because he is the royal family's second son and cannot become king, he remains a target of scrutiny from members of the royal court and household, including Queen Dowager Yun Yi Rang (Gong Seung Yeon).
Yet even Prince Yi An, who is treated with such wariness, reveals a gentler side in front of Seong Hee Joo (IU), instead of his usual icy demeanor. As he comforts the anxious Seong Hee Joo by saying things like, "Stay still," "Are you scared?" and "This is for you," he also becomes a dependable man by enjoying a waltz with her in comfortable clothing.
Through a contract marriage he enters, in an effort to reshape his destiny, Prince Yi An begins to experience the first breeze of spring.
However, the tension deepens with the appearance of dark forces targeting the Prince, Queen Dowager Yun Yi Rang's remark, "To hunt, one must have patience." A fierce chase on the road, along with the sight of Prince Yi An's face streaked with blood from his head, heightens the sense of unease.
Interest grows over the Prince's story as he attempts to break free from the limitations of being the royal family's second son and begins to change his fate. Having lived a lonely life with nowhere to rest his heart, Prince Yi An is expected to deliver a deep emotional tremor to viewers as he changes after meeting Seong Hee Joo, who seems both similar to him and different from him.
