Disney+'s first original historical K-drama, The Murky Streamhas confirmed its release for September and has also been invited to the Busan International Film Festival.

On August 11, the production team of the Disney+ original series The Murky Stream announced that the series has confirmed its September release and has been officially invited to the On Screen section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

The Murky Stream tells the story of people who each had different dreams of overturning a corrupt world and living a life while upholding values of humanity. The K-drama is set against the backdrop of lawless Joseon era, where the once-pure Gyeong River has turned into a murky stream

Ro WoonShin Ye EunPark Seo Ham, and Park Ji Hwan star as the leads. 

Ro Woon takes on the role of Jang Si Yul, a man who dreams of a world where people can live with dignity.

Shin Ye Eun plays Choi Eun, a woman determined to lead the greatest merchant guild in Joseon.

 Park Seo Ham takes on his first historical drama role as Jung Cheon, an official determined to root out the rampant corruption within the police force.

Park Ji Hwan plays Mu Deok, a gang leader who maintains order at Mapo Ferry.

The Murky Stream is coming this September, only on Disney+.
