Song Hye Kyo ends 14-year collaboration with agency
Roh Jeong Eui comes armed with a unique charm and upbeat energy in Our Universe.
Our Universe follows two in-laws, Seon Tae Hyeong (Bae In Hyuk) and Woo Hyeon Jin (Roh Jeong Eui) — too close to be strangers, yet too distant to be family — who end up raising their orphaned 20-month-old nephew, Woo Ju (Park Yu Ho), together.
The still cuts capture the everyday life of Woo Hyeon Jin as she runs through her busy day. From part-time jobs to interviews, Woo Hyeon Jin charges straight ahead ceaselessly, focused solely on landing a job. Her resilience is evident in how she always gives her best, striving to lighten the burden of her older sister, who has been a source of support to her since childhood.

Another still shows Woo Hyeon Jin in deep sleep, exhausted by the rigors of childcare. It remains to be seen how Woo Hyeon Jin, who has become the guardian of her nephew Woo Ju, will navigate her new duties.

Roh Jeong Eui explained her reason for choosing the project, saying, "I liked the realistic things she comes to experience as she raises Woo Ju," adding, "The whole drama is full of loveliness. The way [she] learns how to give and receive love through a child is what makes it appealing."
Speaking about the character Woo Hyeon Jin, she said, "She is an ordinary person in her twenties preparing for employment. As she unexpectedly comes to raise her nephew Woo Ju, she grows a great deal," adding, "I tried to portray Hyeon Jin's clumsiness that comes about as she raises a child."
She continued, "I have experience co-parenting my real-life nephew with my older sister, so I was fairly familiar [with some things] during scenes with the child. It was my first time with a boy, and since the way you play with them is different, there were some difficult aspects. I remember relying on actor Bae In Hyuk, who helped me through those moments."
Our Universe is coming on February 4. The K-drama will be streaming on HBO Max.
