Won Jin A toughens up after surviving a harsh reality in 'The Defects'

Won Jin A takes on her first action role since her debut in The Defects.

The Defects follows the desperate survival struggle and revenge of children who were abandoned by their foster parents and narrowly survived the brink of death.

In the K-drama, Won Jin A takes on the role of Kim Ah Hyun, who was adopted and then "refunded", but miraculously survived. Kim Ah Hyun becomes the leader of the surviving children and their pillar of mental strength. She comes to face unexpected truths after a desperate struggle for revenge and survival. With her sound judgment and strong survival instincts, Kim Ah Hyun will lead the way in times of crisis.

The stills portray Kim Ah Hyun as filled with anger and sorrow. Her sharp expression, as if sensing a threat and staying alert to her surroundings, along with the resolute look on her face as she suppresses her emotions, conveys the weight of a survivor toughened by her harsh reality.

The production team stated, "Actress Won Jin A perfectly portrayed the character of Kim Ah Hyun with her solid acting skills," adding, "You can look forward to her performance, which will further strengthen the world of The Defects."
