Lee Chae Min admits to feeling pressured about joining Bon Appetit, Your Majesty at short notice.

Bon Appetit, Your Majesty follows French chef Yeon Ji Young (Lim Yoon A), who time-slips into the Joseon Dynasty, where she struggles to please the palate of the tyrannical King Lee Heon (Lee Chae Min).

On the afternoon of August 19, a press conference for tvN's upcoming Saturday–Sunday drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty was held, during which Lee Chae Min spoke about joining the project at short notice, replacing Park Sung Hoon, who dropped out following his controversy.

Lee Chae Min commented, "It is true that I didn't have much time [to prepare], so the pressure and sense of responsibility were huge. The director called me a lot before filming, so I had many group readings with Lim Yoon A sunabe and with other senior actors as well. So even before filming, we developed a lot of the character's feel and tone. The senior actors here, as well as many others on set, gave me a lot of feedback on my acting, so I hope that a lot of that will be reflected on screen. The director's meticulous approach was a huge help to me."

He continued, "I am always grateful because the director looked after me and thought I could join this project. I was a rookie without much experience, so I tried to find the reason why I was given such a big role, and I approached filming with the mindset to analyze and work hard and give my all. I don't think I created the character Lee Heon on my own; I believe that thanks to everyone's help, a good character came to be."

Bon Appetit, Your Majesty is coming on August 23. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.
